College Board makes a great effort to ensure that tests are constructed to be about the same difficulty. This allows scores to be standardized. The SAT is taken every year by millions of American and international students. In the last few years, SATs have become digital. Each student now has a unique form, which includes a mix between easy, medium, or hard questions. Digital SATs are multi-stage adaptive. Everyone gets the same mix in the Reading, Writing, and Math section of the first module. Depending on how you responded to those questions, there will be a change in the mix of difficulty for the second module. The average difficulty of the questions in each module will be higher or lesser than they were in the previous module. Difficult questions count more in scoring. It is possible to score lower than you think if your answers are more incorrect.
